This armless chair was designed by Gio Ponti. Development began in 1952 and it took a long time to complete in 1957. The chair's 18mm-wide triangular frame, stripped down to its bare minimum, and its weight of just 1,700 grams, strikes a perfect balance between solidity and lightness. The rattan seat is hand-woven and carefully crafted one by one, and it has been a popular long-seller for over half a century since its release.
