A round, donut-shaped seat with slender, straight legs.
This adorable ring stool was the brainchild of Tokuyoshi Kato, then the factory manager of Tendo Mokko.
During the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, it was nicknamed the "Olympic Stool" and proved extremely popular.
Though the design is extremely simple, behind it lies the pinnacle of Tendo Mokko's woodworking techniques.
The seat leather is upholstered using a technique unique to Tendo Mokko called "Marutenbari."
The joining of the legs and seat is achieved using patented technology.
Extremely durable, ring stools from when they were first released are still in use within Tendo Mokko.
A hole in the center of the seat makes the stool light, easy to carry, and exceptionally comfortable to sit on.
